Today November 14th 2014 was a momentous day for New 2 U Homes. We were recognized today for completing over 100 real estate transactions this year. We are the first minority and independently owned brokerage to accomplish this task in Rochester. Thank you to all our clients,family and friends that were a part of this awesome accomplishment. This year we worked harder and smarter than ever to do what many thought we would never achieve. In honesty it may have been more than we could handle but nievety is sometimes a blessing. We worked harder than we knew we could with less resources than we actually needed but never took the time to acknowledge that what we were trying to do may be impossible. From the moment we began our quest even on the days it seemed unlikely we never waivered in our dedication to seeing this dream become a reality. This year we did this for ourselves and for all our first time buyers who sometimes think getting to the goal is too hard. As I say in class every month, if you believe it nothing can stop you.
A special thanks to my wife and partner (Tysharda Johnson-Thomas) who believed the dream so completely that she pushed past exhaustion, frustration, and obstacles created by outside forces. Time and time again as the challenges presented themselves with passion and determination she went to bat to keep deals alive and push them through to closing. Many happy first time home owners owe their success to her bulldogged back office skills, including but not limited to an onslaught of emails calls and in some cases visits to loan offices, attorneys, or grant providers. This could never have happened without you!
Another special thanks to one of the best Buyers Agents in all of Rochester (Christina White) Christina is the most consistent hardworking dedicated agent I know and I am overjoyed to have the honor of being her broker. She has worked steadfastly with us for over 2 years and I pray she is with us for many many more. She has the ability to guide our buyers through the most challenging situations all the while maintaining a calm and comforting demeanor. After a review of one of our (soon to be homeowner) clients credit report we found a bill originally at $250 was now showing on her credit report for a whopping $918. After fighting with 2 different collection representatives at 2 different companies we were able to get the bill reduced to $338!  We bring these same negotiation skills to your home purchase negotiations. Keys for the Browns!

Hank and Teresa worked hard, waited patiently, and smiled brightly when they finally got their keys, But not without some “flair’ 🙂 The seller’s attempt to pull a fast one on this meticulous and detail oriented couple proved unsuccessful. As we sat at closing and inspected documents, with 3 simple words “Is that right?”, the transaction almost came to a screeching halt. The Browns politely questioned why there was an open lien still reflected on the title to “THEIR” new home. Long story short the situation was handled and this is exactly why we at New 2 U Homes support our clients beginning to end including attending closings. Hank and Teresa Congratulations, it has been an awesome experience working with you guys from hidden cats to strange layouts. We have thoroughly enjoyed the time spent and the opportunity to help you guys with such an awesome task. I am proud to welcome Hank and Teresa to the family! You guys are the Best!

Kenny’s Scores a Key Touchdown!

Kenny knew where he wanted to live, how much he wanted to pay, what his house needed to have, and when he wanted to move. Kenny is a testament to putting in the necessary work to get exactly what you want. Kenny provided all requirements to me, the attorneys and the banks immediately upon request and without hesitation. Kenny was extremely professional throughout the transaction and literally drove this process like a fullback into the endzone! Yvonne, affectionately known as “Diva” finally closed on her home! Diva inspected many homes and came close a few times but when she finally opened the door to her new home she said without hesitation”Now This is a Diva’s House” 🙂 Yvonne’s road was a long one but she remained confident and worked hard to prepare for this day.
